Frequently Asked Questions

Is Quranic Arabic the same as spoken Arabic?

Not exactly. Quranic (Classical) Arabic is the formal, timeless Arabic of the Quran and Hadith. Modern spoken Arabic (Egyptian, Levantine, etc.) is a dialect. Learning Quranic Arabic first makes learning Modern Standard Arabic much easier.

How much can I understand after this course?

With consistent daily study, most students can understand 50–70% of the Quran directly after 6–9 months. Full mastery requires longer study, but the foundation is built in this course Insha'Allah.

Do I need to know Nazra before starting?

Ideally yes, because you'll be reading Arabic examples. If you can't read Arabic yet, we spend the first few weeks on reading before moving to vocabulary and grammar.

Is this suitable for kids?

This course is best for age 12 and above because it requires grammar understanding. Younger children benefit more from Nazra and Tajweed first.

Will I learn to speak Arabic too?

The focus is Quranic understanding, not conversation. However, many grammar rules and vocabulary overlap, giving you a strong head start for spoken Arabic later.
